Shoppers in the UK and EU often have a drop-off point for one carrier but not another. Now they can pick the carrier that actually works for them reducing failed drop-offs and increasing return completion rates.
What's new:
- When Carrier Choice is enabled on a return policy, shoppers see available carriers at the shipping step and select their preferred option
- InPost UK is now available as a negotiated rate option in Ship by Loop
- Merchants control which carriers appear, only carriers enabled on the return policy are surfaced
- If a label can't be generated for the selected carrier, Loop silently falls back to the next available option so returns are never blocked
- Carrier Choice and rate shopping are mutually exclusive per return, enabling Carrier Choice replaces Loop's auto rate-shop with shopper selection Help doc

Shopify is migrating to a new returns API on April 20th, and Loop is adopting this change ahead of the rollout. If your store has Native Exchanges enabled without "Process Returns in Shopify" turned on, you may notice a settings change on your account around this date.
This does not affect how Loop works for your shoppers. Your return and exchange flows will continue as normal.
However, if you have third-party systems connected to Shopify returns (such as an ERP or custom Shopify integration) we recommend auditing those connections before April 20th to confirm they won't be impacted by the change in how Shopify processes return data.

Klaviyo is transitioning to a more secure OAuth authentication method. If you use Klaviyo with Loop, you'll need to re-authenticate your account once. This process takes under a minute.
How to reconnect:
Ensure you have owner or admin permissions. If not - please share with someone who does.
Navigate to Settings/Integrations in your Loop account and click "Reconnect Klaviyo."
You'll see a new Klaviyo tile that should be switched off. If it's already on, you've already reconnected and no further action is needed.
This tile reflects the new connection method—even though it shows as off, your existing Klaviyo integration is still active via the old connection.
Switch the tile on and log in to your Klaviyo account to migrate to the new authentication path. Authorize the connection and you're done.
All your metrics, flows, and settings will remain unchanged. Questions? Contact us at support@loopreturns.com.

You can now use "Contains" clauses in the SKU condition of workflows, making it much easier to create variant-level policies without manually uploading thousands of individual SKUs. Instead of listing every SKU individually, use pattern matching to target groups of variants at once. For example, if all your large-sized products contain "-LG" in the SKU, create one condition that applies to all of them.

We've a new User role specific for managers of brick and mortar stores that are handling POS returns. This user gets access to POS settings and Listings (which is required for POS returns), and cannot access any other part of Loop.
Our User Accounts help article has been updated with full details on setting up this new permission level.

Avalara’s new Tax Compliance integration (also referred to as 2.0) is now compatible with Loop. This resolves the issues preventing Loop merchants from migrating to the new integration. These changes have been released to all shops using the Avatax (1.0) integration and will be released to shops using the Avalara Tax Compliance integration on October 1, 2025. Merchants using the Avatax integration can now migrate to Avalara Tax Compliance without changes in behavior with regards to Loop exchanges. Merchants already using Avalara Tax Compliance can request the new modifications to be released ahead of the October 1 release date. The AvaTax app will be deprecated by Shopify on October 31, 2025. Please reach out to ant@loopreturns.com with questions or requests for rollout.
Merchants can now offer bonus credit up to 200% of the return value, an increase from the previous 100% max. This allows for more incentive flexibility to drive retained revenue.
Merchants processing or reviewing returns can now move to the next or previous return from the return details page, without needing to go back to the returns dashboard. Loop supports keyboard shortcuts as well – J for the previous return, K for the next returns. This mirrors Shopify functionality. The next and previous buttons also follow any filters you have set up. If you are on the Needs Review tab and hit Next return, for example, Loop will go to the next return in Needs Review.
